It's that time of year when we get masses of free advertising scattered across the weather maps in some countries. I would like to thank all my staff for their continued positivity and the collective growth we have all experienced this year. I also want to thank all of our clients for believing that we are the right team for the job. New years excite me because with them comes the promise of new possibilities. Lets make 2010 a great year but right now take a moment to stop, take a deep breath and enjoy today in all its beauty.

When asked to design concepts for the State Library of NSW’s centenary, Frost looked to the Library's DNA to find the answer. The driving idea was to get the objects "out" into the public and create a sense of fun and surprise. We decided to construct a typeface using objects from the Library’s rare and unusual collection, as many people only associate the Library with books. This allowed us to put the objects in a new context, as well as exposing people to the many different aspects of the collection. The letters contain elements of maps, manuscripts, ephemera, relics and even the Library’s own historic architecture. Each letter took about two days as every shape needed to be deep-etched. The whole alphabet took around 400 hours to create. The type-face will be used to celebrate the Mitchell Library centenary next year,

Our “Slip it on” campaign for the Aids Council of NSW (ACON) takes inspiration from 1960's pop art. The inspiration came from Australian-grown waxed-tipped bananas. Bright colours and a bold screen-printed aesthetic produce an iconic image to encourage the use of condoms. The design references safe-sex programs that use bananas to show how condoms are put on. The “Slip It On” banana has potential to become a safe sex symbol in the same way the red ribbon is synonymous HIV/AIDS and the pink ribbon with breast cancer. Frost developed a fun game as a playful way to get the safe sex message across. The aim of the game is to catch a condom with a moving banana before you catch a mouth, a bum or an STD.

Frost’s latest collection of Tees
break new ground in an exciting collaboration with renowned photographer Giles Revell. Revell’s cutting edge imagery reveals a graphic quality in his subjects, from capturing the beauty in and movement in water to reducing objects to their pure graphic form. The new collection also features interesting geometric compositions, using Frost’s distinctive ability to make a bold statement with simple design. The 100% bamboo tees are super-soft and ecologically sound. The light-weight material and loose fitting styles capture Sydney’s laid-back sensibility.
Now available at David Jones Market St NSW and Bourke St VIC. Also available at Glue stores nationally and other selected stores.

Visitors to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne couldn’t turn a corner without being asked to ”Explore untouched Territory”. We couldn’t resist the opportunity to use the line to marry Tourism NT with partner Virgin Airlines with out latest campaign for the NT. With media agency MPG, the NT completely took over Melbourne’s busiest station in the lead-up to and during the Melbourne cup. The cheeky line rolled out across light-boxes, hanging banners, rotating columns, glass posters, floor graphics, trolley posters, locker posters and chair strips – a true Station Domination!

A multi-coloured ink drop swirls across the screen to introduce the new site for the International School of Colour and Design. The site showcases student’s work with large-scale photography. A single colour from the ink splash informs each page in the hero photography and navigation. An intuitive navigation system makes it easier for prospective students to find information and enquire. Due to the success of the website, we have been asked to design the school’s print collateral. View the website
