I have to say that I am struggling to write this intro. My mind is fried from flying around the world working with my team on an incredible array of projects. There are days when it all flows effortlessly and others when there are blockages. We are challenged daily with opportunities that take us into new territories which sharpens our senses and stimulates our intuition. Your gut feelings are the most effective piece of market research you can employ. It can keep you alive and also keep you happy. It’s a free service, listen to it! Vince

Seafolly
The streets of Sydney came to life with the colourful Seafolly campaign. Created by Frost in collaboration with photographer David Gubert, the campaign puts the fun back into Seafolly. Up-and-coming Victoria’s Secret model Jess Hart lit up the camera on the idyllic beach location of Hagerstone Island. The fun continued with typographic tricks that created an interaction between the Seafolly logo and photographs. The campaign included 150,000 catalogues as well as outdoor and instore posters.

Qantas Annual Report 2009
We were honoured to be selected to design the annual report for Qantas this year. From the cabin crew and catering staff to the board of directors, the people are the focus of the report. Frost art directed honest photography that tells the Qantas story while the design reinforces the brand’s look and feel. We translated the report to an interactive microsite to present the information in an engaging way, showcasing elements such as the photography and fleet map. Making the information available online allows Qantas to reach a wider audience, reducing the number of printed copies. The
microsite can be viewed here

MySpace Recharge
Frost have designed Australia’s first reloadable prepaid credit card for MySpace. The slick 3D identity brings the MySpace logo to life while staying true to the brand. The MySpace men are bought to life on the online banners as the word “My” opens and closes to create a “Space” for the characters to animate and transforms to make the word “Money”. The on-line campaign is now live and can be viewed at www.myspace.com.

Sydney Park Playground
Frost put the ‘play’ in playground with new environmental graphics for Sydney Park Playground. The project aims to encourage learning through play for all its visitors, and is designed to include children and carers of all abilities. A tactile alphabet signage system displays Braille and Auslan symbols as well as the written letter and a corresponding word. Resin ice blocks, stone cushions and other larger-than-life features are waiting to be discovered.

Futuretainment
Wallpaper magazine named Futuretainment “one of the design masterpieces of 2008” before it was even printed. The book, by digital expert Mike Walsh, follows the consumer-led revolution in media and entertainment. Arrows are integral to the design as both figurative and literal pointers to the future that
lies ahead.

QVB Signage
With a view to the fact that design is much more than just aesthetics, our latest work for the QVB has produced an environmental outcome that has reduced its energy consumption by 42 percent. As part of the refurbishment of this Sydney icon Frost has created a contemporary signage scheme that complements the heritage architecture while adding to its prestige positioning. The scheme extends across everything from store signage to wayfinding and directories.

Wired Magazine
Wired magazine reports on the way technology constantly changes the world we live in. When asked to design a splash page for the September issue, we created a 3D rendering of just this. An abstract manipulation of the issue number – 17.09 – breaks through a futuristic landscape to represent growth.
